About

Support Our Virtual Anti-Poaching Walk for Lion Conservation!
Sponsor Born Free Staff as they follow in the footsteps of rangers on a virtual anti-poaching walk through Meru National Park. Our Pride of Meru and Pride of Amboseli Teams truly do Walk on the Wild side every day to protect lions on the frontline.

About the Challenge
Our dedicated staff members are rallying together across continents—UK, Africa, and India—to undertake a virtual anti-poaching walk through Meru National Park, Born Free's spiritual home. Each team member's 23,000 steps will be added to the total as we collectively aim to cover every square kilometre of Meru National Park.

Why Meru National Park?
Meru National Park, spanning an impressive 870 square kilometres, is not just a wildlife reserve—it's a symbol of hope sparked by the story of Elsa the Lioness. This iconic landscape has been a cornerstone of our conservation efforts, providing a safe haven for wildlife against the threats of poaching and habitat loss.

Our Mission: Covering Every Square Kilometre
As we lace up our virtual boots, our goal is ambitious yet purposeful. Our teams are collectively aiming to cover every square kilometre of Meru, mirroring the tireless efforts of rangers who safeguard this vital ecosystem. Each step taken is a testament to our commitment to protect Africa's lions and their habitat.

Walking in Solidarity with Pride of Meru
This walk is not just a physical challenge; it's a symbol of solidarity with our Pride of Meru team on the ground. By sponsoring Born Free staff in this endeavour, you're standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the rangers and caretakers who tirelessly protect Meru's wildlife.

How You Can Make a Difference
